We are excited to celebrate World Book Day at our nursery on Thursday 5th March — a wonderful opportunity to share the joy of stories, imagination, and a lifelong love of reading with our children.
A Day Full of Stories and Imagination
World Book Day is all about celebrating books and the magical worlds they open up. Throughout the day, the children will enjoy extra story sessions, explore new books, and take part in fun activities inspired by their favourite characters and tales. From listening and sharing to acting out stories, we’ll be bringing books to life in playful and engaging ways.
Dressing Up for the Occasion
Children are warmly invited to come dressed as their favourite book character if they would like to join in the fun. Whether it’s a well-loved classic or a modern favourite, we love seeing the children’s creativity and excitement shine through. Of course, dressing up is completely optional — everyone can take part and enjoy the celebrations.
Sharing the Love of Reading
Reading together supports language development, imagination, and confidence, and World Book Day is a lovely reminder of how special shared stories can be. We’ll be encouraging conversations about favourite books, exploring pictures, sounds, and storytelling, and helping children discover the joy of getting lost in a good book.
A Special Day to Remember
World Book Day is always a highlight in our nursery calendar — a day filled with laughter, creativity, and plenty of wonderful stories. We look forward to celebrating with the children and making lots of happy reading memories together.
